DX52D/53D Deep Drawn Grade Zero Spangle Galvanized Steel Used For Home Appliances Board
Hot-dip galvanised sheet is widely used in the field of home appliances, for different uses of hot-dip galvanised home appliance sheet, its surface treatment process is different. Hot-dip galvanised household appliance sheet is mainly divided into appearance parts and functional parts. Among them, the surface of appearance parts is generally painted, mainly including spraying and colour coating; the surface of functional parts is generally only chemically treated, and the most widely used is passivation treatment.
When galvanized steel sheet is exposed to the air for extended periods, it can develop white rust on the surface due to oxidation, which negatively affects its appearance. To prevent rust and maintain aesthetic quality, a passivation treatment is applied. The most commonly used passivation treatment is chromate passivation, which includes several types, such as environmentally friendly passivation, chromium-free passivation, and fingerprint-resistant passivation.
- Environmental passivation is the traditional method, where the passivation film contains trivalent chromium. It is a widely used and effective solution for corrosion prevention.
- Chromium-free passivation eliminates chromium entirely, offering a more environmentally friendly option. This type of passivation provides better corrosion resistance compared to the environmental passivation film.
- Fingerprint-resistant passivation is specifically designed to address the issue of fingerprints causing rusting on the surfaces of household appliances during assembly. The passivation film in this case is completely free of chromium, aligning with high environmental protection standards.

Characteristics of Galvanized Steel Coils for Household Appliances
- Corrosion Resistance:
- Galvanized steel is known for its excellent resistance to corrosion due to the protective zinc coating. The zinc acts as a barrier to moisture, air, and other environmental factors that could cause rust or deterioration. This is particularly important for appliances exposed to high humidity, moisture, and temperature fluctuations.
- Durability and Longevity:
- Galvanized steel is more durable than non-coated steel because the zinc coating provides long-lasting protection against rust and wear, making it ideal for household appliances that are expected to last for many years.
- The galvanized coating also protects the steel from scratches, chips, and other mechanical damage during transportation and installation.
- Formability and Workability:
- Galvanized steel is easily formed into various shapes and sizes required for household appliance parts, such as panels, doors, and internal structures.
- The material can be stamped, bent, or welded into the desired forms without damaging the protective coating.
- Aesthetic Quality:
- Galvanized steel sheets typically have a smooth and uniform surface finish, which is ideal for appliances that require a clean, shiny, or modern look.
- They can be painted or coated with additional layers for color or texture, improving their appearance and making them more attractive for consumer products.
- Thermal Conductivity:
- While not as conductive as copper or aluminum, galvanized steel still provides decent thermal conductivity, making it suitable for use in appliances like refrigerators and ovens where heat exchange is important.
- Lightweight:
- Galvanized steel is relatively lightweight compared to other metals such as stainless steel or aluminum, which can be advantageous in reducing the overall weight of the appliance and cutting down on production and transportation costs.
