Using master coils with accurate steel slitting produces narrow customer-specific widths and winds the cuts back up onto a recoiled. We safely join the Slit coil and then take it out for additional packaging.

The course of steel cutting requires machinery with enough mass to precisely cut the steel with uniform edges without burr. Each steel slitting machine has a rated capability to cut only so many cuts at a time. It is important that the steel slitter does not operate at its maximum rated capacity. This will burden the machine and produce a poor item. A steel slitter that needs more force and mass to cut thicker metals will create poor edges. SRMM has heavy gauge steel slitting machines that ensure an accurate and clean edge for customer processing.

Precision coil steel slitting is a process by which wide coils of steel are fed through a slitter and cut into narrow strips of material. Each of these cut strips is known as a strand, and is then recoiled to create width narrow slit coil.

After slitting the coil, our team will recoil the finished material and band the narrow coils. We aim to deliver all materials in pristine condition and our team is very meticulous with how all delicate materials should be handled.

In addition to slitting and blanking, we also have in house polishing facilities as well as being able to offer traverse wound coils.
